Digital Growth Solutions
Website Development
Fast, accessible, search-ready websites built on a CMS your marketing team can update without calling a developer.
What does website development involve?
Website development turns approved designs into a working site: the code, the content management system, hosting setup, analytics and launch. Lenor Ventures builds sites that load quickly on phones, meet accessibility standards and can be edited by your own team after handover.
This service is delivered by Writernical, the digital growth brand of Lenor Ventures. See more of its work at writernical.com.
How We Build Your Website
Our developers work from approved designs and a written content model, so the build is predictable. We set up the content management system first, then build each page template as a set of reusable blocks your editors can arrange, which means new pages do not need a developer.
Content Management
A CMS chosen for your team's skills and the site's size, with roles and draft previews.
Page Speed
Optimised images, minimal scripts and server-rendered pages so content appears quickly on mobile networks.
Accessibility
Semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, visible focus states and text alternatives for images.
Search Readiness
Clean URLs, editable titles and descriptions, XML sitemaps and structured data on every template.
Analytics and Forms
Event tracking and enquiry forms wired to the inbox or CRM you already use.
Which Platform Is Right for You
We do not push one platform. A content-led company site, an online store and a web application each need different tools. We recommend a stack in the proposal and explain why.
Marketing Sites and Online Stores
For marketing sites we use a modern framework with a headless or traditional CMS, depending on who will edit it. For e-commerce we build on Shopify or WooCommerce. Custom web applications sit with our Enterprise Solutions team. Platforms we build on include WordPress, Webflow, Framer and Next.js with a headless CMS.
Moving from an Old Site Without Losing Traffic
A redesign can wipe out years of search rankings if old addresses stop working. Before launch we list every existing URL, map it to its new home and set up permanent redirects. After launch we monitor for broken links and crawl errors and fix them quickly.
Launch, Handover and Support
You receive admin access, a short recorded walkthrough of the CMS and written notes on how the site is built. Ongoing support covers updates, backups and small changes on a monthly plan if you want it. Typical timeline: 4–6 weeks. Starting price: on request, with the proposal. Design work that comes before the build is covered on our Website design page.
What We Check Before a Site Goes Live
| What We Test | Why It Matters | |
|---|---|---|
| Performance | Core Web Vitals on a mid-range phone | Slow pages lose visitors and rankings |
| Accessibility | Contrast, headings, keyboard use, screen reader labels | More people can use the site, and legal risk is lower |
| Search | Titles, canonicals, sitemap, structured data, robots rules | Search engines and AI assistants can read every page |
| Redirects | Every old URL resolves to a live page | Existing rankings and links are kept |
| Forms and tracking | Test submissions and analytics events | Enquiries arrive and can be measured |
Frequently Asked Questions
Can our marketing team edit the site after launch?
- Yes. That is a core requirement of every build. Editors can create pages from ready-made blocks, update text and images, and preview changes before publishing.
Do you host the website?
- We can set up hosting on a provider of your choice in your company's name, so you keep control of the account. We can also manage it for you on a support plan.
Can you take over a site another agency built?
- Usually, yes. We start with a technical audit to understand the code and hosting, then recommend whether to maintain, improve or rebuild it.
Will the site support more than one language?
- If you need it, we enable multiple languages in the CMS and add hreflang tags, so search engines show the right version to each audience.
